Library Rules and Regulations
Membership
- Only Staff, Students and Faculty members of Loyola College of Education are allowed to access the Library.
- Library Membership Card will be issued by the Librarian.
- If Library Membership Card is lost a duplicate card will be issued on payment of Rs. 50/-.
- On completionof Course Library Membership Cards had to be deposited for obtaining ‘No Due slip’ from the Library.
Circulation
- A Student can borrow 2(Two) books for the period of 7(Seven) daysat a time.
- A maximum of10 (Ten) books will be issued to a Faculty member for a period of initial of 6 months from the date of issue and 5(Five) books to Scholars for 10days.
- A maximum of 2(Two) books will be issued to Non-Teaching Staff.
- A fine of Rupees Five (Rs.5/-) will be charged (per day per book)for late submission of books.
- Any damage found in books should be brought to the notice of the Librarian immediately, before issuing it.
- Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias, Reference books, News Papers, Journals and Magazines should not be taken out of the Library.
- Books already Issued and carry bags should not be allowed into Library.
- No marks and folds should be made anywhere in the books. If the books are found damaged, full value of the books shall be charged.
Use of Computer and Internet Facilities
- The computers in the library premises should be used for academic purposes only.
- Online chatting, dating, and browsing social networking sites are strictly prohibited. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters.
- Playing games on computers is strictly prohibited in the entire library premises.
- Changing the settings and display of the computers kept in the library is not permitted.
- Readers should not remove/unplug computer cables/connections, network cables, and other peripherals/accessories in the library.
- Personal keyboards, mouse, etc. are not allowed inside the library. Students must take care of their pen drives, mobile and wallets, etc.
General Library Rules for Students
- Reader should maintain silence, decorum and discipline in the library.
- Every member must give biometric attendance/sign the register available at the entrance.
- Identity Card is compulsory for availing any kind of facilities.
- No admission is permitted in study room without Identity Card.
- Books will be issued to only individuals and not to groups or areas.
- Newspapers and Magazines must be read only in the library, should not be taken to any other reading areas.
- Students should take up the responsibility to arrange books and chairs properly after using the Library.
- If any member found misbehaving with the library staff or with any other member. The Librarian reserves the right to suspend the membership.
- In case of any grievances the users should contact Librarian.
